Abstract:
Abstract It has turned out that the theory of holomorphic mappings of complex spaces as developed by R. Remmert and K. Stein (see [13], [24], [25], [26], [27], [29], [34], [35], [36], [37], for a different approach see E. Bishop [6], H. Rossi [30]) is an excellent tool in exploring the relationship between algebraic and analytic dependence of meromorphic functions (see for instance [26], [27], [34], [37]). The purpose of the present paper is to describe some applications of the mapping theory in this direction.
