Abstract: Abstract Let W be an open Riemann surface. We say that W satisfies the absolute A B-maximum principle if every subregion V of W with compact relative boundary Г has the property that each function which is bounded and analytic on V ∪ Г assumes its maximum on Г. Henceforth, we shall restrict ourselves to subregions whose relative boundaries consist of a finite number of piecewise analytic curves.
