A chapter in Proceedings of the Conference on Complex Analysis, 1965, pp 296-300 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract We recall the familiar notations $$ e_1 = \wp \left( {\frac{{\omega _1 }} {2}} \right),\,e_2 = \wp \left( {\frac{{\omega _2 }} {2}} \right),\,e_3 = \wp \left( {\frac{{\omega _1 + \omega _2 }} {2}} \right) $$ associated with Weierstrass’ γ-function. The period ratio τ = ω 2/ω 1 is always assumed to have positive imaginary part.
