Abstract: Abstract Today, as we stand in the twenty-first century and look back, tremendous changes have happened in China during the past 30 years. At the very beginning of China’s Reform and Opening-up, even the world’s most optimistic prophet would not have anticipated that this big country, while still under the restriction of a planned economy, could grow this fast and go this far. In only 30 years, China has become a major economic power, with the world’s second largest GDP and exports, and biggest foreign exchange reserves, all from a poor country. Average annual GDP growth throughout these 30 years is above 9 %.
