Chapter Chapter 15 in A Course in In-Memory Data Management, 2014, pp 103-107 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, we describe how an application can extract data that was once stored in the database. The SELECT statement is a combination of multiple relational operations, mainly selection, projection, and Cartesian product. We focus on the implications of SanssouciDB’s column-orientated data layout.
