A chapter in Mathematics — Key Technology for the Future, 2003, pp 493-502 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract We report investigations regarding the possibility for improving ultrasonic imaging by an analysis of pulse deformations. Starting with a stochastic solution of the lossy wave equation, we present a general approach for perturbing stochastic processes on Lie groups by a Poisson process. Applications to radiation transport are indicated.
