Abstract:
Abstract On poorly resolved and sub-grid scales, turbulent processes may have significant impact on processes that are well represented on the computational grid. Even though the scales of motions of primary interest are generally much larger than those of turbulent motions, the turbulence profoundly affects all scales due to nonlinear interactions.
