On Permutation Polynomials and Derivable Translation Planes

Abstract: Abstract Permutation polynomials are involved in various different situations, for instance, in the resolution of singularities or in the construction of cryptographic systems for the secure transmission of data. Here we show that permutation polynomials occur also in the classification of translation planes.
