A chapter in High Performance Computing in Science and Engineering ’99, 2000, pp 327-330 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Flow fields around rotary wings, especially around helicopter rotors, are extremely complex due to strong compressibility and three-dimensional effects. The solution of the governing equations for these flow problems is very difficult and can usually only be achieved with the help of numerical methods.
