Abstract: Zusammenfassung Im folgenden will ich zunächst über die Ziele der einzelnen acht Kapitel und die Vorgeschichte jener Fragestellungen berichten. Absichtlich ist im späteren Text durchweg vom Einheitskreis die Rede, in dieser Einleitung vom Kreise |x|≦ r mit einem Wortlaut, in den der des Textes durch die bloße Substitution $$\frac{x}{r}$$ statt x übergeht. Hier von einem beliebigen Punkt des Kreises, dort von dem positiven (triviale Substitution e—(φi x statt x). Hier von lim f(x) = l, dort von lim f(x) = 0 (triviale Substitution f(x) — l statt f(x)). Hier von |f(x)| ≦ M, dort von |f(x)| ≦1 (triviale Substitution M-1 f(x) statt f(x)).
