Abstract:
Abstract The continuum Ising model is a (one dimensional) spin system defined on the real line R instead of on the discrete lattice ℤ. It arises in the study of a quantum mechanical model of the motion of a particle in a double well potential, subjected to a field. Localization in this model is equivalent to magnetization in the continuum Ising model (see [1]).
