Abstract:
Abstract The main aim of this paper is to investigate some unusual properties of such well known examples of chaotic deterministic dynamical systems as piecewise expanding maps and to discuss the peculiarities of the so called variational approach proposed in the one-dimensional case by A. Lasota and J.A. Yorke in [1].
