Chapter 1 in Usability Evaluation of Modeling Languages, 2013, pp 3-7 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Application and business process modeling has received considerable attention recently by both business administration and computer science communities. Modeling has always been at the core of organizational design and information systems development. Models enable decisionmakers to filter out the irrelevant complexities of the real world so that efforts can be directed towards the most important parts of the system or business process under study.
