Chapter 4 in Executive Teams in Research-Based Spin-Off Companies, 2013, pp 49-83 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The previous chapter described the theoretical background and introduced the upper echelons perspective as the central framework for this study. This chapter develops the hypotheses and research questions for the empirical analysis. The hypotheses were derived from theoretical and empirical findings, whereas the research questions were formulated if prior studies suggested a relationship between the characteristics of the management team, with a focus on prior experience, strategic decision making, firm performance, organisational attributes, and the environmental situation.
