Chapter 3 in Competitive Differentiation within the Shipbuilding Industry, 2014, pp 17-32 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract At the very beginning of this work the considerations concerning the difficult market situation for European shipyards led to the formulation of two general questions: 1. How does a Western European shipyard develop competence in the field of services? 2. How does becoming competent in the field of services pay for a Western European shipyard? Once the theoretical assumptions regarding these problems were made based on an extensive literature review, it had to be validated whether or to which degree they could still be maintained after a comparison with social reality.
