Chapter 5 in Competitive Differentiation within the Shipbuilding Industry, 2014, pp 53-72 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Subsequently, based on the literature review and on the qualitative study’s results the final research questions and working hypotheses will be developed. At first, not only will it be explained why the existence of a positive relationship between a shipyard’s market expertise and its competence in the field of services is expected, but also between its practical experience and its competence in the field of services. Moreover, it will be shown for what reasons the existence of a positive relationship is expected between a shipyard’s cooperative exchange of information among its business units as well as with third parties and its competence in the field of services.
