Abstract:
Abstract In a survey about the “relative importance of socio-cultural elements influencing the cultural attractiveness of a tourism region”, Ritchie and Zins (1978) compared non-residents with residents. As a result, the relative importance of architecture for residents ranked in seventh place and for visitors (non-residents) fourth place after the socio-cultural elements of history (3), gastronomy (2) and traditions (1) (p. 254 ff.).
