Abstract:
Abstract This chapter gives an introduction to Crowdfunding covering an explanation of the phenomenon, as well as an illustration of the key actors and common Crowdfunding variations along with an overview of the most common reward-based platforms (see Appendix B). With the aid of these essential characteristics, a working definition for Crowdfunding can be derived for a better understanding of this work.
