Abstract: Zusammenfassung Die Reisen der Hirzebruchs nach Irland erstreckten sich über einen Zeitraum von vierzig Jahren. In den siebziger Jahren war Irland das bevorzugte – in der Tat fast das einzige – Ferienziel der Familie. Im Februar 2008 reiste die Familie Hirzebruch zum letzten Mal nach Irland, zu einem kurzen Besuch von Crookhaven.
