Chapter 5 in Corporate Strategy, 2019, pp 95-126 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, we will first explain the importance of growth as a driver of long-term value creation and corporate vitality. We will then introduce important frameworks for thinking about corporate growth that address the different time horizons of growth, the sources of growth close to and beyond the core, and the different internal and external pathways for achieving growth. And finally, we will go into more detail and discuss the various levers to tap the growth potential within the existing portfolio as well as proven approaches for identifying, evaluating, and selecting growth options beyond the existing portfolio.
