Abstract: Zusammenfassung Interestingly, in the years of the crisisGreece R&D spending marked an upward trend, which started in 2014 and continues ever since. Already in 2015, the relevant amounts had surpassed the amounts spent in the same activitiesin the years before the crisis.Based on most recent data the amount of R&D spending reached € 2,17 billion in 2018 or 1.18 % of GDP, reflecting an increase by € 130 mil from prior year and ofa cumulative increase of € 420 mil during the last two years.
