Chapter 2 in Airline Revenue Management, 2021, pp 15-20 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract So far, we have highlighted and discussed on a rather intuitive basis the fundamental mechanisms and ideas of revenue management. In practice, revenue management is done with the help of IT systems. In this chapter, we will outline, how these so-called revenue management systems work in principle. We will go through the major steps of these systems and explain each of them in more detail throughout the next chapters.
