Mind-Change: Changing the Way We Think and Act

Svenja Hofert ()

Chapter 4 in The Agile Mindset, 2022, pp 135-195 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Is it possible to train mindset? Is it possible to change the logic of feeling, thinking and acting? Those who believe in their own changeability, in the sense of Carol Dweck, will be more open to it than those who do not. However, it is not enough to train “knowledge” about changeability. There are a number of people who know something because they have learned it. But they cannot derive any action from it. They would pass any theoretical test, but in practical application they fail. This is what I mean. Knowing something does not mean deriving an action based on it. The logic of thought is not necessarily that of action. Nor vice versa.
