Abstract: Zusammenfassung Je nach Tourismusart variiert das Ausmaß der erforderlichen Infrastruktur. Viele Formen des Slow Tourism wie Wandern oder Trekking verlangen eher geringe Investitionen in die Infrastruktur, Eventtourismus, Wintersport oder Badeferien in Übersee sind stark infrastrukturabhängig. Ein zunehmendes Problem in einer Reihe von Städten und Tourismuszielen ist der sogenannte Overtourism.
