Abstract: Zusammenfassung Insbesondere durch die Digitalisierung und die Coronapandemie ist die Dynamik des Strukturwandels allgegenwärtig geworden. Allerdings die Immobilienwirtschaft scheint immer noch Scheuklappen zu unterliegen. Ein Bereich, wo es in der nahen Zukunft nicht an Dramatik fehlen dürfte, sind unsere Innenstädte. Der Architekt wird als Seismograf der ökonomisch-sozialen Umbrüche verstanden. Anhand von Projekten des Architekturstudios Caspar. werden Lösungsansätze aufgezeigt.
