Abstract:
Abstract Production engineering achieves lean production by observing defined planning principles. Taking waste avoidance into account in engineering results in optimized production. The control lever is greater in the engineering phase than in a later optimization during operation. In the context of implementation, simple methods, such as cardboard engineering, provide support as a cost-effective and goal-oriented engineering approach with a realistic result.
