Abstract: Zusammenfassung Afrika! Das populäre Bild Afrikas ist insbesondere in den Medien immer noch von Hunger, Armut und Krieg oder aber von Folklore und romantischen Vorstellungen geprägt. Neue Technologien, wirtschaftliche Entwicklung und eine trotz Pandemie recht stabile Mittelschicht spielen in dieser Sicht nach wie vor keine große Rolle. Afrika wird gesehen als dunkler, verlorener Kontinent ohne Hoffnung.
