Abstract: Zusammenfassung Wirtschaftstransformation muss unter Beachtung verschiedener Einflussfaktoren erfolgen. Zwei dieser Faktoren werden aufgrund ihrer großen Bedeutung hervorgehoben: Die technologische Weiterentwicklung, insbesondere die Digitalisierung, setzt einerseits Rahmenbedingungen für die Transformation, muss andererseits auch im Sinn der Transformationsanliegen gesteuert werden. Die globale und regionale Bevölkerungsentwicklung spielt eine große Rolle für die Transformation, z. B. im Hinblick auf die Frage, welche Bevölkerungsgesamtzahl der Planet Erde nachhaltig unterstützen kann.
