Abstract:
Abstract Convergence creates major challenges for copyright and content license management: New forms of usage increase the complexity of the rights bundles traded. At the same time, rights must be enforced on digital platforms, and the rights portfolio must be managed effectively across different media properties. This is happening against the backdrop of intensifying competition for content licenses and increasingly flexible demand. The copyright and content license management of media companies must therefore develop strategies to limit the procurement risk, for example by extending brands and value chains. At the same time, it is important to ensure access to mission-critical content, to automate processing, and to link rights procurement/management with other internal processes.
