A chapter in Work and AI 2030, 2023, pp 361-371 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The need for further education is growing in the digital transformation. New concepts and technologies are required to keep up with the speed of development needs. The success of further education will be determined in the future by the solution of three further education gaps: motivation, competence and transfer. Artificial intelligence provides an important building block for this. Through learning analytics, personalised learning, task automation and smart content, the current challenges of further education can be overcome. Important debates of artificial intelligence in further education will also be determined in the future by ethical questions (e.g. discrimination) as well as questions about the objectifiability of human development.
