Chapter Chapter 2 in Planning and Reporting in BI-supported Controlling, 2023, pp 7-23 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Planning and reporting are essential tools for management to recognize the dynamic changes in the economic environment and in the company and to successfully align the course of the enterprise. Chapter 2 first defines the basic terms “planning and reporting” and shows their goals and tasks. The interlocking of planning and reporting in the management control loop is shown. Otherwise, an isolated view of planning and reporting leads to inconsistencies in the management control loop. Subsequently, an analysis profile is set up, which focuses on the four perspectives “technical content, organization, processes and IT support” with regard to planning and reporting in the focus of the investigation.
