Chapter Chapter 4 in Planning and Reporting in BI-supported Controlling, 2023, pp 283-359 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Chapter 4 deals with the organizational integration and the design of the processes related to planning and reporting. It examines the influence of corporate connections, the organizational structure and the leadership style on planning and reporting. In doing so, it highlights, among other things, the peculiarities of medium-sized and large companies. In addition, it distinguishes the tasks and relationships of the involved roles, on the one hand the recipients or receivers and on the other hand the creators or senders and coordinators. For planning and reporting, the following processes were also differentiated: The introduction process, the cyclical process (continuous execution) and the quality assurance process. By systematically dividing the process steps, the companies are given many impulses that are important for the practical implementation of planning and reporting solutions. Especially noteworthy are the hints on data quality checking and assurance within the framework of BI-supported controlling systems as well as the support of agile IT development by the Scrum process.
