Chapter Chapter 6 in Planning and Reporting in BI-supported Controlling, 2023, pp 593-603 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Chapter 6 concludes with an outlook. It shows future trends and developments regarding planning and reporting in BI-supported controlling. The main trends in the area of “professional content” are: integration aspects of planning and reporting, the establishment of suitable professional concepts, the expansion of planning and analysis functions, and the creation of standard solutions that are open to the mapping of individual requirements. The main trends in the area of IT support are: AI-supported analytics, chatbots, data discovery, data visualization, predictive analytics, hybrid traditional and explorative BI, mobile systems, cloud computing, IT security, self-service BI, embedded BI, BI portal integration and BI monitoring. The main trends in the areas of “organization and processes” are: the substitution of manual reporting processes by RPA, powerful authorization and access systems, data quality checking and control, the preparation of data according to the target group, and the distribution and collaboration.
