Chapter Chapter 11 in Business Guide for Strategic Management, 2023, pp 69-74 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Controlling? How uncool is that! Wait a minute, an economic activity is not a frivolous or charitable event, but a serious business to be controlled for the purpose of making a profit. Since the reign of Isabella of Portugal (1397–1471), we have known that women, like men, master the core tasks of classical controlling. As unofficial finance minister of Burgundy, she checked the income and expenditure policy of the duchy, uncovered irregularities and fought against fraud and corruption.
