Abstract: Abstract Present studies show that every fifth employee finds his workplace very stressful and every tenth is absent due to depression. Worldwide, about 280 million people suffer from depression. In Germany, one in five employees has already been diagnosed with depression. According to the WHO Regional Office for Europe, the disease costs around 170 billion € per year in Europe alone.
