Print Media

Chapter Chapter 2 in Media Economics in Austria, 2023, pp 33-46 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In the beginning was the book and shortly afterwards came the newspaper. These first mass media changed the world permanently and spread knowledge and information among people. Today, many decades later, print media are fighting for their existence. That makes it all the more interesting to know how the print media market works. Because with this knowledge, you can recognise connections you didn’t know about before and thus get a bigger and more comprehensive picture of the print media landscape. As a budding journalist, you will also gain a solid basic knowledge of economics, which will help you to understand your profession even better.
