Abstract:
Abstract Chapter 2 explains what a complex company is with the help of systems theory. First, it briefly shows what a system is. The company as system is then described with the help of five characteristics. Afterward four characteristics of complex systems are presented. This makes it possible to understand complex companies. Finally, six causes for the complexity of companies are presented.
