Chapter 3 in Successfully Managing Complex Companies, 2023, pp 17-24 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In Chap 3, a common understanding of management is established. It is based on cybernetics: Starting from the cybernetic loop, the cybernetic loop of management is created. It includes three core tasks: (1) defining values and objectives, (2) assessing the situation and making decisions, and (3) leading employees and communicating with stakeholders. The three core tasks are then complemented by six analysis and design tasks and two meta-tasks. Finally, it is shown that the other chapters of the book are dedicated to these eleven management tasks.
