Chapter Chapter 6 in Research Design in Business and Management, 2024, pp 97-116 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter addresses design science research design’s peculiarities, characteristics, and significant fallacies. This research design is a solution-oriented approach. Its purpose is to find or develop a solution called an artifact. Understanding the problem, finding possible solutions, and developing criteria for choosing a solution are key next to the solution itself. This distinguishes design science research from consulting.
