Abstract: Zusammenfassung Bedingt durch den rasanten technologischen Fortschritt ebenso wie die große Dynamik in der Regulierung digitaler Technologien spielen Monitoring und Fortschreibung für Digitalisierungs- und Smart-City-Strategien eine besondere Rolle. Die Strategie muss regelmäßig auf ihren Aktualisierungsbedarf hin überprüft und angepasst werden. In der kommunalen Praxis gibt es gleichwohl bislang nur wenige Ansätze für geeignete Methoden zum Monitoring und zur Strategiefortschreibung.
