A chapter in Hidden Champions Case Compendium, 2024, pp 37-52 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The AUTONEUM case study takes a holistic look at the innovation management of a major automotive supplier. To this end, it provides insights into the automotive industry and illustrates the innovation pressure to which suppliers are exposed. Autoneum succeeds in realizing innovative top performance on the market through a formal innovation process model and at the same time a strong innovation culture. As part of the case study, students learn about a balanced approach of formal and informal mechanisms of coordination in innovation management and evaluate the advantages as well as limitations of different instruments.
