A chapter in Hidden Champions Case Compendium, 2024, pp 117-132 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract As a Dortmund native, the Dolezych company has developed into a world market leader in rope, lifting, slinging, and load securing technology. This surge in internationalization was strongly influenced by the entrepreneurial personality of Udo Dolezych, who still plays a key role in guiding the company’s fortunes today. As a representative of the third generation of the family, since 2011, Tim Dolezych forms the triumvirate of management together with Karl-Heinz Keisewitt. In this case study, students can learn about a company that faces the tensions of regional embeddedness and international expansion, while at the same time being characterized by strong management personalities.
