A chapter in Age-appropriate Driver Assistance Systems, 2024, pp 1-13 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The introduction of the book justifies and explains the goal of the interdisciplinary ALFASY project: the development, construction, and testing of age-appropriate driver assistance systems—specifically acoustic human-machine interfaces tailored to the needs of the steadily growing group of older and affluent drivers (50 years and older). As cognitive and physiological performance decreases with increasing age, this can enhance independence and safety for all road users.
