Abstract: Zusammenfassung Mit der Frage „Quo Vadis Europa?“ wird die dringende Notwendigkeit für strategische Initiativen in Europa diskutiert, um in den globalen Hochtechnologiesektoren wie KI, Quantencomputing und Raumfahrttechnologie wettbewerbsfähig zu bleiben. Trotz starker akademischer Leistungen und innovativer Start-ups fehlt es Europa an multinationalen Tech-Konzernen, die Innovation und kommerzielle Anwendung vorantreiben. Der Beitrag fordert koordinierte Bemühungen nach dem Vorbild von Airbus, um europäische Technologieunternehmen zu globalen Akteuren zu entwickeln. Dabei wird betont, dass die EU eine Schlüsselrolle in der Schaffung eines förderlichen Umfelds für das Wachstum von Technologieunternehmen spielen muss. Es wird auf die Notwendigkeit hingewiesen, die Integration des EU-Marktes zu nutzen, regulatorische Hürden abzubauen und strategische Investitionen in grundlegende Technologien zu tätigen, um Europas technologische Souveränität und globale Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu stärken.
