Abstract: Zusammenfassung Um eine werteorientierte Organisationsentwicklung zu verstehen, ist es erforderlich, die Organisation als Begrifflichkeit zu bestimmen und einzuordnen sowie kurz die Ursprünge und Wegbereiter zu betrachten. Organisationsentwicklung als sozialwissenschaftlicher Ansatz entstand in den 1930er Jahren mit der sog. Human-Relations-Bewegung in den USA.
