Chapter Chapter 1 in Digitalization in Procurement, 2024, pp 1-10 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The design area of purchasing includes, in addition to the classic areas of supplier search, negotiation, and nomination on the one hand, and supplier development and technology, as well as supply management and quality on the other hand, with the aim of ensuring efficient production and production control. These elements of purchasing can benefit from digitization in different ways. Fifteen starting points for digitization are located in the design area of purchasing and are outlined in content. This is intended to give the reader the opportunity to orient themselves in the book on the questions and solution approaches that are of interest to them.
