Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, you will be enabled to develop an understanding of the diverse decisions of product policy. You will learn about the objectives and instruments of product and service policy, will familiarize yourself with the various methods of decision-making in product management, will engage with the innovation process for the development of new products and services, and will learn to make the essential decisions within the scopeof brand, packaging, service, and product range policy. A particular concern of this chapter is to demonstrate the necessity of bringing the variety of single decisions within product and service policy together to form a holistic product an service program of the company.
