Classics of Conflict

Chapter Chapter 2 in The Family Strategy, 2025, pp 11-28 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Not only in entrepreneurial families are there a number of standard situations that can be seen as classics at the center of family conflicts. One thing these situations have in common: They are natural, and one can hardly escape them. As timeless patterns, they shape the history of mankind. This is confirmed by the Bible and Greek mythology, and is still confirmed by everyday experience. They are the conflicts between fathers and sons, between siblings, between emotion and reason, loyalty and selfishness, fidelity and betrayal. They occur in the best of families.
