Chapter Chapter 5 in Police and Citizen Participation, 2025, pp 67-86 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Central foundations for successful participation processes and for improving acceptance can be identified, which are based on an integrative understanding: Trust as a working basis between the police, stakeholder groups, and citizens, a form of communication between them that is aimed at understanding and honest exchange, openness to new topics and issues, and transparency in the process as well as proactive participation as honest interest and objective credibility of all actors involved in the participation process.
