Chapter Chapter 3 in Value Distribution Theory, 1993, pp 58-92 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The present chapter is another application of the fundamental theorems of Nevanlinna. After G. Julia had proved the existence of a Julia direction using the theory of normal family, investigations were made into the behavior of an entire or meromorphic function near a ray by H. Milloux “filling disks” [1], A. Ostrowski [1], and others. This fieled of study is refered to as angular distribution theory. In 1928, starting from Nevanlinna theory, G. Valiron [2] proved the existence of a Borel direction of a meromorphic function, thus promoting the development of angular distribution theory.
